Thank you for your thoughts and images about washing each others' feet. I love the fact that Jesus led by example, not expecting of His disciples to do anything He was not willing to do. I have been more mindful of how kind and honoring this act is as my Mom has aged and has needed some care for her feet.
I would like to use your image of foot washing (the black & white one) for a church worship service. May I have permission to do so, and what wording would you want to be credited with the image? Thank you for your response!
Thank you for your comment, as you say its a very special act and I have been thinking about doing something around it in my own church. I was actually speaking to someone about it recently and they said they had once been to a service where members of the congregation washed each others hands rather than feet as some people didn't want their feet washed but that by washing each others hands with tenderness and care was something very special. I think it has something to do with the acceptance that comes through touch, something so often absent from many people's lives.
Yes you are very welcome to use the image, just credit it with my name Ruth Joy. If you would like a larger version of the image just get in touch though the contact form on one of my websites www.ruthjoy.co.uk or www.ruthjoyphotography.com and I'll send you a higher resolution version.
